Company History

Critical Structures, Inc. (CSI) was established in 2009 in California by Eric Stovner, P.E., S.E., LEED AP to provide nationwide structural engineering services to the public and private sectors.

Also in 2009, Mr. Stovner acquired the structural engineering firm Brieholz Qazi Engineering, established by David Brieholz, P.E., in 1973.

We work hand-in-hand with our clients to understand your needs, with an eye to conserving your material and financial resources, by providing innovative and creative solutions, and value to you. We have a reputation for responsiveness and trust. We are relationship-driven. As your Structural Engineer, we will answer your phone calls and emails.

CSI is experienced in the successful engineering of new and existing structures, utilizing project-specific optimum systems and materials. Experience in materials includes cast-in-place concrete, structural steel, cold-formed steel, aluminum, light-framed wood and heavy timber.
